Project overview

The Royal View Transmission project will oversee the installation of a new, large diameter water transmission main from the Knox Mountain Reservoirs and will tie-in with existing water infrastructure at the Ethel Street and Weddell Place intersection. Once complete, this new main will help provide additional conveyance capacity and a dedicated source of drinking water to the areas south and east of downtown. As the demand for potable water continues, this new main will be a critical replacement to the currently undersized Royal View Transmission main located atop a slope with known slide risk.
