Accessibility
The City of Kelowna is committed to ensuring that services and facilities are accessible to all. We strive to remove barriers and provide an inclusive environment for everyone.
If you have an accessibility concern or are experiencing a barrier, please submit a service request under "Accessibility concern". This is the fastest way to notify City staff who can address the problem. It also allows you to track the status of your request as it is being worked on.
You may also report a barrier or concern by phone or in person at City Hall (1435 Water Street).
The City's Accessibility Advisory Committee is an advisory committee of Council that will make recommendations on how the City can identify, remove and prevent barriers to the full and equal participation of people with disabilities. Nine members are serving up to a four-year term, in alignment with the current Council term.
In accordance with the Accessible British Columbia Act implementation and the City's commitment to an inclusive and accessible city for all, an Accessibility Plan is currently in progress. An accessibility plan outlines how the City will identify, remove and prevent barriers to people within the organization and externally.
The plan is expected to be before Mayor & Council before the end of 2024. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
