Project Overview
The 2040 Transportation Master Plan recommends a protected bicycle route along Bertram Street to establish a comfortable and safe north-south route through downtown, connecting from Sutherland Ave protected bike lanes to the Cawston multiuse pathway via Rowcliffe Park and the Bertram Multiuse Overpass (under construction) across Highway 97.

This route will support growth in the Downtown Urban Centre, including the Downtown UBCO Campus, and provide improved access to parks, employment, transit, businesses, services and amenities. Future phases of the Bertram ATC protected bicycle route will extend farther north to connect with the Okanagan Rail Trail in the North End.To learn more about this project, visit getinvolved.kelowna.ca/bertramcorridor.
