Community members have until Aug. 4 to influence the future design of Manhattan Point Park through an online survey where they can share their preferences and priorities for the site.

Located in Kelowna's North End, Manhattan Point Park is a distinct waterfront location along the Okanagan Lake Paddle Trail. The park was closed in 2017 due to damage caused by flooding. Objectives for future park improvements include:

  • creating safe public access to the waterfront;
  • making available public land for public use;
  • improving shoreline stabilization, and
  • delivering environmental benefits.

City staff will use feedback to help identify uses, priorities and aesthetic options for the site and a preliminary design is expected to be completed in the fall of 2024 with construction anticipated in 2026.
