Are you passionate about creating a friendlier, safer and more vibrant neighbourhood? A place where neighbours not only know each other but are there to support one another through life’s highs and lows. You can help foster this connection in your neighbourhood by becoming a Block Connector this spring!

Block Connectors are residents committed to fostering a sense of community on their block or apartment floor. They take an active role in connecting neighbours by organizing social gatherings, neighbourhood projects and performing simple acts of kindness. With support from the Strong Neighbourhoods team, Block Connectors play an important role in cultivating a strong sense of belonging, safety, and community within neighbourhoods as well as our larger community. Residents interested in becoming a Block Connector can learn more and sign up at kelowna.ca/blockconnector.

Looking for other ways to inspire neighbourhood connections and make a positive impact this spring? The Neighbourhood Event program provides access to staff support and equipment like tables, chairs, tents, games and resources to make your next block party or neighbourhood get-together a success. Submit your application to secure support for your desired date for spring, summer or fall.

For smaller gatherings, residents can also request to borrow the Meet Your Street Kit. Meet Your Street Kits contains all the resources, games and supplies necessary to connect your neighbours wherever you live, be it a street block or an apartment building. The Kit is available to request now for the year.
