Demolition/decommission
Demolition permits
Due to the nature of demolition permits they must be applied for in person at the Application Centre on the 2nd floor of City Hall. Please ensure you have:
- Completed Building Permit Application Form
- Owner's Authorization Form signed by all owners on title
- Owners Acknowledgement Form
- Map of property noting all buildings that are to be demolished
- Letter of intent from remedial contractor or letter of clearance from certified environmental testing company noting no hazardous materials are on site
- Statutory declaration – this can be filled in, however, it must be signed at City Hall in front of a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits for British Columbia
Decommission permits
Due to the nature of decommission permits they must be applied for in person at the Application Centre on the 2nd floor of City Hall. Please ensure you have
- Completed Building Permit Application Form
- Owners Authorization Form signed by all owners on title
- Site plan showing where on the property the dwelling that is to be decommissioned is located
- Floor plan showing where in the dwelling all cooking appliances, and vents are located
