Labour Day hours of operation at civic properties

City Hall will be closed Monday, Sept. 4 for the Labour Day statutory holiday.  

Parkinson Recreation Centre will be open with adjusted holiday hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. However, the pool area is closed until Sept. 17 for annual maintenance and cleaning. The gymnasium remains open over the long weekend, but will be closed for annual maintenance and cleaning from Sept. 5 to Sept. 15.  

The Glenmore Landfill will be open regular hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Note that the Landfill will not be open to retail compost loading over the weekend or on the statutory holiday. 

The Kelowna Memorial Cemetery administration office will be closed. However, the cemetery itself will remain open all weekend from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

A reminder that it is back-to-school time and to be aware of, and slow down, in school zones, which will be in effect Tuesday, Sept. 5.
