Curious about North End concepts? Attend an information session!

October 10, 2023

Public Service Announcement

Don’t miss the opportunity to learn more about three unique neighbourhood concepts being presented for the North End. Staff will be available to answer questions and share information about the concepts and shed light on the different approaches for future land use, public space, housing and transportation.

Event times and locations are as follows:

  • Wednesday, October 11, 3-6 p.m.
Okanagan Regional Library, Downtown Kelowna Branch

  • Saturday, October 14, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
    Knox Mountain Park

  • Sunday, October 15, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
    Knox Mountain Park

The North End Plan concepts are intended to give high-level direction for the entire neighbourhood, including the former Tolko Mill Site, a 17-hectare privately-owned waterfront property. At each of the information sessions, City staff will be joined by representatives from the Mill Site planning team to answer questions about their site concepts. They will also be hosting their own separate event as part of the Mill Site Area Redevelopment process later in the month.

The City is in the process of engaging residents about the future of the North End in the latest phase of multi-year engagement that will result in a refined concept. The plan will guide growth and development in the area over the next two decades and beyond. The final North End Plan is anticipated for completion in 2024.

If you can’t make it out to an info session, there’s still time to have your say by completing the survey before Oct. 22 on Get Involved. For more information about the Mill Site, including engagement opportunities, visit kelownamillsite.ca.
