The extension of Frost Road to Chute Lake Road will provide a new connection between Chute Lake Road and Gordon Drive, including a new roundabout at the intersection of Chute Lake and Frost roads. This connection will improve access for residents of the Kettle Valley neighbourhood to Gordon Drive and South Perimeter Way, schools and future commercial services in the Ponds neighbourhood, and reduce traffic on parallel neighbourhood streets. 

Design work to occurred throughout 2024 with construction anticipated for October 2024 and complete by Fall of 2025. 

Construction will be completed in the following five stages: 

Stage one:  

October 2024 – Spring 2025  

Construction will begin at Treadgold Court extending Frost Road to Chute Lake Road. There will be no traffic impacts during this stage.  

Stage two: 

Spring 2025 

Construction on stage two will include work on Frost Road between Killdeer Road and Treadgold Court. A traffic detour will be in place for Gowen Place and Threadgold Court.  

Stage three: 

Spring 2025 – Summer 2025  

Construction on stage three will include work on Chute Lake Crescent between Okaview Road and Chute Lake Road. A traffic detour will be in place for Chute Lake Crescent. 

Stage four: 

Summer 2025 

Construction on stage four will include work on Chute Lake Road between Frost Road and Chute Lake Crescent. A traffic detour will be in place. 

Stage five: 

Summer 2025 – Fall 2025  

Construction on stage five will include work on Chute Lake Road between South Crest Drive and Chute Lake Crescent. A traffic detour will be in place.
