Lochview Road Beach Access
Nestled just north of Knox Mountain Park, the Lochview Trail provides a combination of rich lake views and a rigorous hiking experience. Stretched over a total of one and a half kilometers, this challenging trail provides a connection between Paul’s Tomb in Knox Mountain and Lochview Road. With an elevation change of approximately 95 meters, the climb is achieved in part through the use of timber crib stairs. Further, a staircase allows for park users to reach the shores of Okanagan Lake at a small beach access.
The trail is rated difficult due to steep terrain and stairs. A small beach access tucked into the bottom of the hill offers a quiet spot to enjoy a dip in the lake. Dogs are allowed on-leash only and there is no-smoking in the area.
How to get there: There are two options to get in. You can hike in via Paul’s Tomb (south end) through Knox Mountain Park; or drive north on Clifton Road and turn left on Lochview Road. There is limited parking available, please respect neighbouring properties as Lochview Road turns into a private road immediately after the trail entrance.
