Karate Adult Youth Inter/Adv at Bankhead - Thursday 6:45 PM (Apr 10 - Jun 12)

Karate will introduce you to basic skills learned in martial arts such as self-discipline, coordination, confidence, mental and physical conditioning and respect.Jushinkan is a recognized style association that comes from traditional Shotokan and focuses not just on the style of our teaching but the true principals of the art itself. This class is for those with some experience. Achievements from other styles of karate are honored. Training two nights per week is recommended for maximum results.( Blue belts and above.)

Tai Chi Chuan 24 Short Form - Wednesday 5:15 PM (Apr 2 - May 28)

Tai Chi is known to preserve and restore memory and health. Tai Chi provides you with better balance and focus while exercising your muscles, ligaments and organs. Often referred to as “Meditation in Motion” the movements are mindful and continuous. You will learn the 24 Tai Chi Chuan Short Form slowly in this eleven week class so you can have a good understanding of the principles of this popular form. Tai Chi Chuan is practiced by millions of people around the world because of its wonderful health benefits. Advanced students will be refining their forms.

Tai Chi Chuan 108 Long Form PRC - Friday 10:30 AM (Apr 4 - Jun 13)

Tai Chi Chuan Long Form is suitable for those wanting to learn this traditional form and also for those students who are familiar with Tai Chi Chuan principles and standards and would like to refine their forms. Practice will be done slowly and mindfully to release the power of healing and wellness, building our strength and health from the inside out. Because of the wonderful benefits of Tai Chi you will have better balance and focus while exercising the muscles, ligaments and organs. Qi Gong (Chee Gong) health warm-up exercises will precede each class.

Tennis - Learn To Play - Advanced Beginner - Saturday 12:15 PM (Jun 7 - Jun 28)

This program is for those who have the basics down but are still working towards an intermediate level. Weekly sessions will focus on advancing your fundamental skills, improving your game play and more with a knowledgeable instructor. Classes will incorporate a mix of drills designed to help you progress quickly plus match play in a welcoming environment.

Tennis - Learn To Play - Advanced Beginner - Saturday 12:15 PM (Apr 26 - May 31)

This program is for those who have the basics down but are still working towards an intermediate level. Weekly sessions will focus on advancing your fundamental skills, improving your game play and more with a knowledgeable instructor. Classes will incorporate a mix of drills designed to help you progress quickly plus match play in a welcoming environment.
