Downtown bike valet
After a successful pilot last summer, the Bike Valet program returns on an annual basis, this time for longer hours and more days. From May 18 until September 2, residents and visitors can safely and conveniently park their bikes for free between the hours of 9 am and 9 pm. The program will run Thursday through Monday at the same location as last year, the intersection of Bernard Avenue and Mill Street.
Use the bike valet service and you’ll have the chance to win a $500 gift certificate. Prize winners will be drawn on Tuesday, September 3.
The pilot initiative last summer was informed by RCMP bike theft data and the annual program will continue to work with this same information moving forward to ensure a successful continuation of the program.
We have installed secure bicycle rental lockers in the downtown core and Pandosy neighbourhoods to provide secure bicycle parking options. You can secure a locker for $14 per month - far cheaper than any vehicle parking pass - by contacting Kelowna Parking at 250-862-8585 or kelownaparking@kelowna.ca.
Please confirm availability with Kelowna Parking. Some lockers may be unavailable during construction projects in the area.

You can lock up your bike for free at bike racks located throughout the city. Our Community Safety Toolkit contains helpful information on the best type of bike lock to use and how you can effectively lock your bike.
Businesses interested in installing a bike rack of their own can view our brochure. We will cover 50 per cent of the cost to purchase and install quality bike racks at qualifying businesses and organizations that attract visits from the public. If you're interested in installing a bike rack at your business or building, fill out the online application form.
You also can submit a Service Request for bike racks on public property (use the "Cycling infrastructure" heading).
